Tour de Summer Camps Recap!

Shana Tova Gilboa Community,

The Los Angeles Jewish Federation annually organizes the "Tour de Summer Camps," a fantastic bike ride that raises funds to support fellowships for thirteen Jewish camps. To attract broad participation, the tour offers routes for all riding skills—18, 36, 62, and 100 miles—as well as a hike and a color run for kids. For us at Gilboa, these funds are crucial. Last year, for example, we received $40,000 through this program, which accounted for over 50% of our fellowship funding.

This year, on September 29th, we had our best tour yet! Thirteen riders and hikers joined our "Go Go Gilboa" team, raising more than $12,000! A huge thank you to Julie Macht, Isaiah Beenhouwer, and Lara Dutta for volunteering and making the tour possible. Special thanks also to Mathis Chazanov and Mark Sokolove, our top riders and fundraisers, and to Ofir Yungman from Dove Communications for generously sponsoring a refueling station! We hope to see you at next year's Tour de Summer Camps.
