Summer Memories: Stories in the Sukkah

Join us for a night of storytelling in the sukkah to raise money for Camp Gilboa and honor our previous executive directors, Elana Bloomfield and Dalit Shlapobersky.

Dalit started as a Camp Gilboa parent and served as the Executive Director for over ten amazing years. Elana started at Camp Miriam as a camper and counselor, then came to Camp Gilboa ten years ago and climbed the ranks from Tzevet, to Rosh (Head of Camp), Assistant Director, Associate Director, and finally three years as Executive Director. Together, Dalit and Elana helped Camp Gilboa grow to what it is today.

In addition to honoring Elana and Dalit, we will enjoy an evening of Moth-style storytelling about Summer Memories, featuring Camp Gilboa campers, counselors, parents, board members, and alumni.

And of course, we’ll be raising money for camp. We need to finish covering the financial aid we gave out for last summer, and we need funds for a number of improvements to camp, including a new pool heater ($5,000), a commercial steamer for the kitchen ($9,000), a small backup generator for the kitchen ($1,500), a camp utility vehicle ($15,000), and patio string lights to light up the pathways around camp ($500).

Tickets include admission to the event, wine, appetizers, and dessert. Get them here!

Whether you are able to attend or not, you can also purchase a tribute to include a personalized message to Elana, Dalit, or Camp Gilboa in our virtual program (which will also be displayed on the wall at the event). We hope to see you there!
