ABOUT CAMP GILBOA

Camp Gilboa (Machaneh Gilboa) offers a vibrant Jewish camping experience for children ages 8 to 17. Campers create a close-knit community based on the ideals of collective responsibility, respect, equality and friendship. In a supportive, creative and caring environment, campers become active participants in a truly unique camping tradition.

Since 1936, Camp Gilboa has served the West as a branch of Habonim Dror, an international Labor Zionist youth movement that supports seven camps in the U.S. and Canada. We are affiliated with Ameinu in the U.S. and HaNoar HaOved VeHalomed in Israel.

In addition to summer and winter overnight camps, counselors run year-round programs at our local chapters (Kenim) in Los Angeles, Irvine, San Diego, San Francisco Bay Area and the Silicon Valley. Our youth-led activities (Peulot) include Shabbat programming, social justice activities (Tikkun Olam), picnics, day trips and weekend seminars.
